Well,
the
last
gig
of
a
hectic
Beckett
spring
is
rapidly
approaching.
Less
than
a
fortnight
since
the
last
gig,
The
Beckett
return
to
the
headline
slot
at
the
Halfmoon
in
Putney
for
the
second
time
in
four
months
to
begin
their
Jubilee
celebrations.
Since
January
we've
written,
recorded,
pressed
and
circulated
the
new
CD,
played
four
gigs,
had
great
press
exposure,
met
managers
and
producers
with
backgrounds
you
wouldn't
believe
(as
well
as
some
we
still
don't),
been
picked
up
for
use
on
even
more
websites,
have
some
possible
TV
and
tour
support
gigs
in
the
pipeline
and
are
trying
to
write
a
new
set
of
songs
to
take
us
forward.
It's
only
when
we
sat
back
and
thought
about
how
much
had
happened
that
we
realised
how
seriously
busy
we
have
been.
So
after
this
Thursday's
gig,
we'll
be
taking
a
little
time
to
catch
our
collective
breath,
take
a
step
back,
reshuffle
and
look
forward
at
the
rest
of
this
year
and
what
we
want
to
achieve.

PUTNEY
:
The
Halfmoon,
Putney
:
Thu
May
30
2002
After
rocking
their
venue
in
March,
those
nice
people
at
the
Halfmoon
asked
us
back
again
and
we
just
didn't
have
the
heart
to
turn
them
down.
Up
until
now,
the
Halfmoon
Putney
was
famous
for
hosting
The
Rolling
Stones,
The
Who,
U2,
Van
Morrison
and
Elvis
Costello,
as
well
as
more
recently
My
Vitriol,
Symposium,
Squeeze
and
Marti
Pellow.
This
Thursday,
The
Beckett
return
to
the
headline
slot
with
two
support
bands
building
a
strong
name
for
themselves
-
Appletrash
&
Mantequilla
and
if
the
last
gig
was
anything
to
go
by,
it
should
be
a
great
night
so
come
down
early
and
give
some
support
to
the
two
guest
bands.
